The India-Sweden Healthcare Innovation Centre is a tripartite collaboration between the Swedish Trade Commissioner’s Office, AIIMS Delhi and AIIMS Jodhpur, including partners such as Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, ICMR, AstraZeneca, Startup India, AGNIi, Invest India, Atal Innovation Mission and NASSCOM.

The India-Sweden Innovation Centre acts as a growth catalyst for start-ups through cross country mentorship, networking and funding access and by enabling international expansion.

“During this year, the pandemic of Covid-19 has disrupted healthcare delivery in India and across the globe. Healthcare systems worldwide are presently under tremendous pressure as they are coping up with the pandemic. Patient behaviour towards servicing their healthcare needs is also changing rapidly and this will compel healthcare providers to adopt new ways of working and develop innovative solutions in order to sustain healthcare delivery.”

Who should apply:

This Innovation Challenge is open to startups, students, individuals, entrepreneurs and SMEs who are solving healthcare challenges in India through innovative technologies and business models.

What will start-ups get:

Innovation Centre will provide a host of benefits to the selected start-ups, including:

• Mentoring by a network of mentors with rich and diverse experience such as AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Delhi, AstraZeneca and Business Sweden, who work closely with the start-ups to support them in their growth by sharing their valuable knowledge, and by connecting them with opportunities in the industry
• Rapid scale-up by enabling product validation through hospitals and market access for pilot projects
• Fuel international expansion and collaboration by acting as a gateway to connect to the international markets through a wide network of partners
• Connect to the investors to showcase your innovations and attract investments
• High level visibility to showcase your innovation to distinguished industry leaders, policy makers and healthcare providers through conferences and digital showcase
• Incubation space at AIIMS Jodhpur to co-create and refine the solution along with access to use of lab equipment's. Additionally, access to satellite incubation space in Bangalore is also available
